BSA Troop 1911 SPOT Tracker
In the past, we've used SPOT on our Grand Canyon, Philmont, Selway 50 miler and Bonanza Lakes hikes with great success. SPOT allows those of us on the home front to track the Troop's progress. It could also prove to be invaluable in the event of an emergency. Of course, SPOT, GPS and other gee-wiz devises are no substitute for basic orienteering and outdoor skills.
